Another successful night at the B2B Marketing Awards 2011
Tuesday, 29th November 2011 at 9:06am
The B2B Marketing Awards 2011 were a great success last Thursday, 24th November.
For the fifth year The Think Tank managed the awards event on behalf of B2B Marketing Magazine and it all went very well. The theme this year combined a 60's lounge atmosphere with the glitter of Las Vegas, setting the scene for a fun and enjoyable night.
Jack Whitehall took the stage to entertain the audience and present the awards and after a great dinner and 'refreshment' many headed off to the after-show party until the early hours.
Well done to all the winners and a big thanks to all The Think Tank team for running another successful event.
The Think Tank shortlisted for Best Brand Campaign at B2B Marketing Awards
Tuesday, 16th August 2011 at 8:46am
Following a brief from Stanelco Plc, Biome's previous name, we developed a new brand to promote the bioplastics bias of the business, developing a new brand identity, collateral and web site and then promoted the brand and business to a diverse customer base through PR and electronic direct marketing.
Biome has seen great results since its re-launch and this recognition of the strength of the new brand is great for both The Think Tank and Biome.
Fingers crossed for the Awards in November.

Vintage Festival comes to the Southbank
Wednesday, 11th May 2011 at 8:46am
This is what they have to say about the event,
'Whether your thing is swing, rockabilly, mod, soul, funk, disco, ska, electro, cabaret, film, art or design, or if you just want to dress up and get an authentic make-over for a day, Vintage at Southbank Centre is a sensual delight, a big dressing-up box, a collector’s dream and a joyous creative feast for all ages. For one glamorous weekend we celebrate the music, fashion, film, art , design, and dance from the 1920s to the 1980s (and maybe even a peek at the early ‘90s) that has made Britain the world’s creative and cultural hotbed....
The event takes place over the three days at the Royal Festival Hall which will be set dressed across the six levels. It will be transformed into a multi-venue playground where pass holders can ‘learn the dances’, enjoy a makeover take in the live performances, exclusive DJ sets, catwalk shows, wonderfully conceived food and cocktails, the cream of the crop vintage retailers and surprises galore. Vintage favourites The Soul Casino, Let it Rock, The Torch Club, The Leisure Lounge and The Warehouse are amongst the ten nightclubs contained within Royal Festival Hall.

In pursuit of Imperfection: Designers in Residence
Thursday, 27th January 2011 at 10:33am
In Pursuit of Imperfection
For a century and a half mass production has done all it can to make perfect objects in large numbers that are all exactly the same. But now we have the ability to make objects, or messages, or experiences in quantities that are not ‘perfect’, but rather are unique, or particular, or responsive to their users and owners. We would like product / furniture / graphic/ interactive / furniture designers to explore the idea of the imperfect in an object, an environment, or an experience.
For previous winners, further details on this year's entry and to download the application form, visit the Design Museum site. Deadline for submission is 5pm Monday 28th February so there really is no time like the present!

2011: The Year of the Mobile
Tuesday, 18th January 2011 at 5:33am
ForeSee Results have utilised data from the Christmas shopping period to create a benchmark for shopping trends. Such were the results that they have made the bold statement that 'any retailer not actively working to develop, measure, and refine its mobile experience is leaving money on the table for competitors."
Historically trends that hit the consumer market will at some point be on the table for discussion in the business market in the near future. At what point the B2B market will seriously look into this as a touch point in their marketing strategy we shall have to wait and see but it will inevitably be yet another medium for the market to get its head around.
