Nissan's self healing paint

Wednesday, 15th May 2013 at 9:52am

Nissan Self Healing PaintIn a clever marketing campaign Nissan has released a special advert for those that read the news on their tablets. The ad itself is for their 'self healing' paint, which recovers from light scratches to look as good as new.

The advert, created by TBWA/G1 Paris, creates scratches in the paintwork of the car as users try to swipe through the ad, which then repair themselves.

Very clever use of the swipe motion that people use whilst browsing to highlight another innovation.

Watch the ad in action below.

Toyota's Family Tree

Tuesday, 5th March 2013 at 9:32am

Toyota vehicle LineageToyota vehicle lineageToyota vehicle lineageTo celebrate 75 years, Toyota has released a family tree for their cars.
The interactive map allows you to go through the entire range of cars they have made since the company was established in 1937 and it's plant operation began in 1938 (the first cars were released in 1936).

The timeline covers the lives of different cars they have developed and allows you to search through it based upon year, body type or model.

The spots on the tree have pop-up images of the vehicles, which are click-able, and allow you to look through the different generations of a model of car like the Land Cruiser or Avensis.

Their 75 Years of Toyota landing page also has a clever scrolling timeline which focuses on the company and it's growth over this period.

Take a look through the vehicle lineage here.

There is also a lineage page for engine type here.

VW ad is daylight robbery

Tuesday, 19th February 2013 at 1:00pm

Volkswagon MaskVolkswagon MaskVolkswagen's latest advert by Deutsch, is a brilliant bit of suspense, slightly reminiscent of an action movie but with a humorous twist at the end.

The premise for the ad, titled Mask, is simple; a guy walks into a local shop wearing a ski mask, starts stalking down the aisles collecting food and such like, whilst looking menacing. All the while the customers start to hide and the counter staff begin to look scared. The camera angles and accompanying music all add to the suspense and creates a commercial that seems to promise cars chases and gun fights.

Hopefully we have built this up enough without spoiling the end, so take a look at it below.

Drama returns; this time to Dutch Town

Monday, 28th January 2013 at 3:44pm

TNT red buttonTNT push for DramaTNT add drama bannerTNT is at it again following the launch of their TV series and movie channel in Belgium, which we featured in April of last year. TNT is launching in Netherlands this time, so once again agency Duval Guillaume has placed a red button in a quiet market street, encouraging people to press it to 'add drama'.

Once the button is pressed, they are confronted with a choice of colours, kidnapped  and then dumped into the middle of a riot with a guest appearance by Elvis.

Definitely one to watch to beat those Monday blues.

The corner shop comes to life with Red Stripe

Sunday, 2nd December 2012 at 5:57pm

Red Stripe StuntRed Stripe Promotional StuntThis stunt for Red Stripe by ad agency KesselsKramer (along with Stinkdigital director Greg Brunkalla and creative technology consultancy Hirsch&Mann) popped up in a convenience store in East London.

They rigged up loads of products in a corner store to suddenly start dancing and making music whenever a customer picked up a Red Stripe from the fridge.

It's a great bit of fun but knowing these types of stores well the late night crowd may get a bit freaked out!

A bit of fun as well as a great way of getting people on the buses, even if it is a bit over the top.

Meet mini-Vinnie

Saturday, 24th November 2012 at 3:39pm

Mini VinnieSafety films seem to be having a run online at the moment - not that festive.

For those in the UK that have seen Vinnie Jones performing CPR in the latest British Heart Foundation campaign then now meet 'Mini Vinnie'.

This version of the ad is aimed at children and features 'hands-only' CPR to a lifeless body to the tune of the Bee Gees' Stayin' Alive.

A serious message but also quite funny.
