Budweiser lets you make friends with a clink
Wednesday, 1st May 2013 at 4:02pm
It's an age old tradition across the globe. You say "cheers" (or regional equivalent) then 'clink' glasses, an almost universal symbol.
In Brazil, Budweiser is making this act, even more sociable, with their Buddy Cups.
The smart cups detect the contact between them and adds the other person as a friend on Facebook, this is done via a chip in the bottom of the cup and a code which you scan with your smart phone to activate it.
The cups are reportedly going to be used for events and concerts, but it is interesting to see how far afield this technology will be used
Watch a video about the new cup below.
Why men need their own shampoo
Thursday, 28th March 2013 at 7:41am

It appears that in Brazil using a woman's shampoo can have strange side-effects, at least that's what we gather from this ad for Dove Men+ Care made by Ogilvy & Mather Brazil.
In this humorous commercial see what happens when a work colleague uses the wrong shampoo.
Definitely an odd one but worth a watch below.
Enjoy!
It's not too easy to stop with bubblewrap
Sunday, 15th July 2012 at 8:10am
In an interesting stunt for Goodyear in Brazil, Y&R has been inserting sheets of bubble wrap into newspapers and handing them out to drivers in São Paolo as they wait in traffic. This was part of a campaign with the the message, "Sometimes it's not easy to stop."
It's a curious one, connecting the addictive pleasure of popping bubble wrap with the potential tragedy of braking hard with poor tires instead of Goodyear's ultra-grips but quite fun anyway.

Buttered-cat paradox comes to the screens in Brazil
Monday, 14th May 2012 at 7:36pm
If you haven't heard of the buttered-cat paradox then this ad by Ogilvy & Mather Brazil will make it all very clear.
Combine the law of physics that cats always land on their feet and buttered toast always lands on the buttered side down and you get a limitless source of electricity. The world's energy resource problem is solved.
Not one for cat lovers I'm afraid.
