This new campaign by New Zealand Jerky uses Kiwi humour to promote “Serious Meat” as they tell beef related one-liners to cows.
New Zealand Jerky hopes to promote their product as a healthier beef jerky snack, promoting the slogan “Serious Meat” in their advert alongside the jokes.
The advert shows New Zealand TV writer and stand-up comic celebrity Tim Batt asks the audience “Why do cows have hooves instead of feet?...because they lactose.” The cows are obviously too serious to laugh...
“We wanted to capture that quick-witted humor that Kiwis are known for with this campaign,” said Mark Ray, chief creative officer at North. “We got so much great material from Batt that we had an ‘udderly’ hard time picking our favorites.”
