Google and YouTube claimed the top two spots in YouGov’s first ever ‘healthiest’ brand rankings, despite Google receiving a fine of €2.4bn in June 2017.
The EU handed Google an enormous fine of €2.4bn fine for abusing its dominance of the search engine market in building its online shopping service, but now they’ve come on top.
Tech brands dominated the list with Facebook and Samsung coming in third and fourth respectively while WhatsApp take the fifth position.
Tech Marzilli, chief executive of YouGov data products said "Tech brands dominate this global list and with good reason. By their very nature the likes of Google, YouTube and Facebook are open and accessible in most places on earth to anyone with online access”.
