Aldi hired a very little star to promote their fish fingers in a fully signed ad: 6-year-old Maisie Sly.
The profoundly deaf actress stars in the cute one-off advert, declaring her love for Aldi’s Northern Catch fish fingers. It’s the first UK commercial to be recorded entirely in sign language and marks the supermarket chain’s support for Deaf Awareness Week.
Adam Zavalis, marketing director for Aldi UK, said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting the UK Council on Deafness in their annual Deaf Awareness Week campaign. Our new advert is completely silent and signed and demonstrates our wider commitment to inclusivity.’
