Liam is a founding Director of The Think Tank and has worked in marketing for more than 25 years. Starting his career as an Account Executive in one of the UK’s leading Sales Promotion Agencies, Liam has worked in above-the-line and research agencies before setting up The Think Tank with his business partner, Shaun, in 1993.

Gaining a wide range of experience across many marketing disciplines, Liam has worked with a variety of leading brands including Kodak, British Midland, WorldPay, Hertz, Woolworths, Kwik Save, Castlemaine XXXX, Formica, OKI Printing Solutions, Nespresso, Asendia and AkzoNobel.

Liam heads up the Client Services team at The Think Tank delivering the strategic direction for our clients and managing the development of existing and new business.

Shaun Madle founded The Think Tank in 1993 with Liam Bateman and is the Creative Director of the agency. He began his career as a designer/typographer and went on to lead creative teams in several large London advertising agencies. He has worked in the creative industry for almost 35 years, across a diverse range of sectors.

Previous clients have included the Orient Express, DAKS, Russell & Bromley, Perpetual Unit Trusts, Alitalia Airways, Data General, Alderwick Peachell, Simpsons of Piccadilly and Robert Walters.

Leading the Think Tank’s creative team, Shaun has a hands-on role shaping and developing campaigns across a range of media and relishes a challenge.

Jo is a media relations specialist with extensive B2B and consumer experience.

Having worked with a number of large retail clients and global multinationals, as well as advertising and media agencies, Jo now leads The Think Tank PR team.

When she's not on the phone to various publications around the world, you'll find Jo honing her Fine Art skills and exhibiting paintings across London, Europe and the US.

Since joining The Think Tank in 2008 Dragana has worked on a number of key accounts across the technology, logistics and built environment sectors.

Her skills and knowledge are rooted in business to business communications and she has extensive experience in delivering complex integrated marketing campaigns. Supporting the marketing needs of a wide range of clients, Dragana has planned and implemented many online and offline strategies both in the UK and across the EMEA region. 

Away from work she mostly spends time with her little boy, getting to know the world of superheroes and Lego creations (something that comes in handy at work from time to time...).

Kelly-Anne started as a Senior Account Manager at The Think Tank in 2005 and has since taken on the role of Account Director, managing major B2B accounts, offering bright ideas and pearls of wisdom to clients and colleagues alike.

Away from her desk, Kelly-Anne's two little ones keep her busy - but she still finds time to make the office's favourite banana cake every now and then.

With a MediaLab Arts BSc, Paul is responsible for growing the digital side of the business.

He initially designed and developed Flash websites and CD-ROMs in the early years, before becoming the Digital Director and overseeing all the digital projects The Think Tank produces, from Parallax websites to After Effects Video Production.

Paul has two beautiful young children, so his spare time is mostly consumed by them. However, if he does get a minute to himself, he loves to play football (well) and golf (badly).

Karen brings over 10 years' experience as an ideas-led, award-winning creative in Art Direction and Graphic Design.

From concept to creation, Karen has worked on fully integrated ad campaigns; photo shoots (in both Art Director and photographer roles); branding and identities; direct marketing; branding communications and corporate literature; digital online ads; film editing for TV ads and short films; and direction of VOs and sound dubs.

Previous clients include Ford Direct, Citi Bank, BBC Motion Gallery, MSN and Hewlett Packard, to name but a few.

Magda is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the office.

Her main responsibilities within The Think Tank cover HR and financial management functions, including invoicing, supplier controlling and space and facilities management, along with providing administrative leadership to the Directors.

She has more than 15 years of professional experience in administration, with an emphasis on sales support, finance, and facility management.

In the past, Magda studied Accountancy and Financial Advisory, and has a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Management from Koszalin University of Technology.

Henry works across B2B accounts in the manufacturing and construction industry, with a focus on associations and trade bodies. From his background in hospitality and events PR, Henry introduced The Think Tank’s first-ever craft brewing client.

A University of Leeds graduate, Henry's previous experience includes working for the Conservative Party, under the formidable presence of the Rt. Hon. Eric Pickles MP, and a publishing house. A native Londoner, Henry enjoys the finer things in life, in particular good food, fine wine and Havana cigars.

Ed is a corporate/B2B PR specialist, working across accounts in the marketing, technology and events sectors.

Previously, Ed managed PR campaigns for a diverse range of clients including prestigious five-star hotels, luxury caterers and a leading sports hospitality agency. Additionally, he brings in-house comms experience to The Think Tank, having worked in a business travel company for 4½ years.

In his spare time, Ed can usually be found watching the mighty Dulwich Hamlet, attempting to resurrect his cricket career and enjoying a cheeky craft beer or two.

Sarah is an experienced account handler with a passion for creating strategies that go beyond the initial brief to deliver something truly unique for brands and their customers. Sarah works across a range of clients at The Think Tank and enjoys using innovative marketing solutions to meet her clients’ needs.

With experience in the luxury, B2B, and publishing sectors, Sarah adores the variety that this brings to her role. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys baking and is a part of SheSays, a group that runs events and talks for women in the creative and marketing industry. 

A creative graphic designer, Lee’s responsibilities include client pitches, concept generation from initial ideas through to final solutions, and artworking for both print and online. Lee has over 10 years' design industry experience with a BA(Hons) in Graphic Design and Marketing.

Outside of work, Lee's interests include design, art and photography.

Stephen is a Junior Digital Designer, specialising in digital design and video creation.

Bringing a host of other skills to The Think Tank, including graphic design and artworking, Stephen also has a BSc in Multimedia Computing and Animation.

Outside of work, Stephen is a football fan and enjoys video games and live music - he can also be found at the pool table.

A native Londoner with more than 10 years’ industry experience, Jason is a Senior Designer at The Think Tank. Jason is passionate about creating work that inspires and fosters memorable relationships between brands and their customers.

After graduating with a HND in Media Design and Business, Jason’s career has taken in projects for charities, agencies, and schools. Other career highlights include an advertising campaign for the NSPCC and a commission from a Scottish mental health charity to produce a film raising awareness of self-harm.

Before moving to the UK 4 years ago, Priti lived in India working with an airline as an in-house communications specialist, where she was lucky enough to travel the world and take to the skies often.

She's since touched down at The Think Tank, joining the PR team as a Senior Account Executive with 7 years of experience in PR and communications working with a clients across the aviation, legal, fintech, NGO and entertainment sectors.

When she's not in the office, Priti keeps herself busy with 'dot-to-dot' puzzles and working on her calligraphy skills.


After six years teaching English and Maths, Emi left the classroom to try her hand at copywriting. Starting at The Think Tank as an intern Emi then joined the PR team, bringing a love of language, oodles of writing experience and strong feelings about comma usage.

Outside the office, Emi enjoys open mic poetry nights, studying Japanese and thinking of new ways to push herself outside of her comfort zone. 

Having studied, travelled, taught refugees and organised fundraisers all over the world from Nigeria to Amsterdam, Will finally settled in London and joined The Think Tank as an intern.

With plenty of knowledge about unrecognised countries and an MSc in International Development Studies, Will quickly moved up the ranks to become an Account Executive for the PR team.

Outside of work, Will enjoys playing sports badly (on both the pitch and his PS4), getting regrettable cheap haircuts and continuing his charity work with fundraising events. He's also the proud owner of a fabulous winter coat, which nabs him plenty of compliments around the office.


Having worked as a communications specialist for a contemporary art gallery, Tiia left the art world to work across a range of architecture, design and construction clients at The Think Tank, with a specialism for PR in her native Nordic region.

A self-proclaimed proofreading nerd, Tiia is also a musician and, when away from her desk, can usually be spotted at London’s many gig venues, either onstage or off.

After moving to London from Derby with a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship under her belt, Ailish joined The Think Tank team.

Twitter-loving Ailish manages social media for a range of clients across multiple platforms as well as running digital advertising campaigns.

When not at work, you'll either find Ailish in her local Wetherspoons developing her newfound love of gin or, if she's at home, she'll be following all things ice hockey and binging the latest series on Netflix.

James worked in broadcast media and retail communications before turning his inky hand to the irresistible world of creative copywriting.

He studied English Literature at the University of Glasgow and Advertising & PR at City of Glasgow College (he is from Scotland, jings!). James has written transmission copy for BBC Broadcast, Red Bee Media and Netflix.

His favourite words are ‘dork’, ‘warpath’, ‘icicle’, ‘flummoxed’ and ‘deadbeat’. His favourite punctuation marks are the caret and the pilcrow.

Eloise joined The Think Tank as a PR Intern as part of her four-year English course at Loughborough University. During her time at The Think Tank, she’s been immersing herself in the world of B2B and learning everything there is to know about media and entertainment.

Eloise assists the team in media relations, ad hoc duties and makes a great cup of tea. When not hard at work, you'll find her buried in books, playing volleyball, or planning her next overseas adventure.
