PR Junior Account Executive Apprentice

Love a good story and want to turn that into a career?

We’re looking for a PR Junior Account Executive apprentice to join our PR team. No agency experience needed. If you’re a strong writer, keen on the news and happy talking to people, we’ll teach you how B2B PR really works, and you’ll earn a nationally recognised qualification along the way.

The role

You’ll join our PR team and learn how to build reputations for B2B clients. 

From researching stories, analysing campaigns and drafting press materials to starting to build relationships with journalists, you’ll get stuck into the day-to-day of a busy PR team. Alongside the job, you’ll complete a Level 4 PR and Communications Assistant apprenticeship, building qualifications as you gain real experience.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the team on media relations and influencer campaigns for B2B clients
• Researching target media, journalists and news opportunities
• Helping draft press releases, comments and basic PR content
• Building media lists and tracking coverage
• Spotting news the team can react to and pitch around
• Helping prepare reports, coverage summaries and client updates
• Supporting new business research and pitches

What we’re looking for

• A confident, accurate writer with good written English
• Genuinely interested in current affairs, news and technology
• Comfortable on the phone and happy to talk to people
• Organised, curious and keen to learn 
• Reliable, proactive and open to feedback
• Someone comfortable working to deadlines and juggling several things at once

You’ll need

• The right to work in the UK
• To be in our Holborn office at least two days a week, and more at the start
• A degree or equivalent qualification is welcome but not essential. We’re interested in your potential, curiosity and commitment to building a career in marketing.

About the apprenticeship

This is a Level 4 PR and Communications Assistant apprenticeship, fully funded by us. It runs for 18 months including the end-point assessment, and you’ll spend roughly a day a week of paid time on off-the-job training. 

You’ll finish with a nationally recognised qualification and a solid foundation in PR and communications.
