The Think Tank has been ranked fourth out of the top 50 B2B agencies for thought leadership and classified as an ‘Established Thought Leader’, the highest tier in the framework.

The agency scored 78 out of 100 against eight criteria, well above the sector average of 47.3, earning its place among just six agencies to reach the top tier.

“We’re delighted to be among six ‘Established Thought Leaders’ in the industry, with a bank of content that’s evidence-backed, focused, full-funnel, consistent and, crucially, useful,” said Liam Bateman, Managing Director at The Think Tank. “Publishing our ideas forces us to hold ourselves to a high standard. Once a thought is public, it becomes part of the debate, open to scrutiny and challenge. That’s a bold, creative risk, and it sets us apart.”.

What is the B2B Agency Thought Leadership Report?

The B2B Agency Thought Leadership Report sets out to create a credible, repeatable benchmark for what good thought leadership looks like. It’s commissioned by Joel Harrison, former founder and editor of B2B Marketing, in partnership with Demand Genius. The study analysed 18,699 web pages using AI agents to classify content across 35 data points before scoring each agency out of 100.

The framework rewards the elements that make good thought leadership: evidence that builds credibility, focus that proves expertise, varied formats that widen reach, full-funnel content that guides buyers to a decision, and named experts for authority. Agencies can’t reach the top tier on total points alone. They have to hit the minimum on every measure at once, which is why only six of 46 agencies managed ‘Established’ status.

A word from our Managing Director, Liam Bateman: “Thought leadership inspires trust, the number one currency in B2B. In an environment where anyone with a laptop can generate content that sounds a bit like an expert, holding your thought leadership to a rigorous standard really matters”.

The Think Tank brings together voices from across the industry, internal experts and external names alike, to answer the questions B2B businesses are asking. Recognition from an independent report like this is a real achievement for the team.

Note: A technical error had left The Think Tank off an earlier version of the report. Once corrected and properly assessed, the score of 78 secured fourth position in the overall rankings.
